Villaware V003-41609 Tradizione Stovetop Espresso Maker - 9 cup Review

Villaware V003-41609 Tradizione Stovetop Espresso Maker - 9 cupIn over five years of transactions with Amazon, I've not been this disappointed at all.I ordered the stainless steel product displayed, but I kept receiving the aluminum product. This happened three times though I returned the merchandise with my reason clearly explained.I guess it's the age of machines for if a human eye had read my reason, there was no way s/he could have sent me the aluminum expresso maker three times.

On balance, this is just a small event in my overall relationship as a customer, which I can certainly overlook. However, Amazon should look into this matter because even for them, this business plan is not at all efficient.Amazon incurred six shipping charges and didn't even make the sale.

Ilsa Stainless Steel Stovetop Espresso Makers Review

Ilsa Stainless Steel Stovetop Espresso Makersi own a bialetti 1 cup stovetop espresso maker.i use it for traveling and in my van.it is made of aluminum however, and i wanted a stainless steel maker to take to thailand.the three cup Ilsa was the right size, but for some reason it was priced far higher than either the two cup or the four cup unit - but i bought it anyway because it was the size i wanted.the maker is well made.the hinge on the lid is a little loose and sloppy, but it doesn't interfere with the function.the grounds don't get all worked into the threads of the boiler and top, like they tend to do on the bialetti.being stainless steel, the maker cleans better than the aluminum units. The Ilsa has a stainless steel handle that won't burn if the flame from the stove is too high on the handle side.the plastic handle on my bialetti is schorched and flaking.the Ilsa seems to tolerate finely ground coffee better than the bialetti.if you put espresso grind coffee in the bialetti, it clogs and over-pressures.the Ilsa will push the waer through.the Ilsa comes with a little "reducer" screen, for making using a lesser amount of coffee grounds, but i never use it.

Forever Espresso Inox 6 Cup Espresso Maker. Review

Forever Espresso Inox 6 Cup Espresso Maker. This is a fantastic stainless steel espresso maker.Looks very nice on the stove (says my wife), and is well built. The threads are large and very smooth, and the handle is great.(We put the pot on the edge of our electric burner, so the handle never gets hot anyway, but it is just the right size and very sturdy, kind of like a matte finish Faberware pot handle).

Mind didn't come with directions, but Cuban friends taught me how to use it.I also found excellent directions quickly searching on the Web.

I have a trick for getting rid of the odor of a new gasket.First, follow the advice on the tiny "recommendations" tag to brew several batches not for drinking (I reused the same grounds a couple of times). Then, mix a 1:2 solution of baking soda to water, just enough to submerge the gasket.Let the gasket sit in the solution overnight, and in the morning, you are ready to go!

For trouble free brewing, make sure their aren't any coffee grounds or water droplets in the threads, and tighten securely.

We enjoy either Pilon or Bustelo, affordable and easy to find at supermarkets, and we look forward to trying some espresso beans to grind at home.

My wife and I are typical coffee enthusiasts, so this six-cup size is just right for two large cortaditos in the morning. Also works out when we have a guest or two over who want straight espresso.(We bought the little set of four white BIA Cordon Bleu espresso cups with this.)

Liked this and the cups so much we sent the 4 cup (otherwise identical) model and the cups to friends as a housewarming gift.
