Keurig B30 Mini Brewers Review

Keurig B30 Mini BrewersI previously purchased a B40 for my office. The convenience and selection of coffees immediately made it a favorite among co-workers and myself. Of course this meant that I wanted one for home. One problem with the B40 is the noise. Not bad for an office environment but unforgivable first thing in the morning at home. When the B30 was announced and promised to be quieter, that was just what the doctor ordered. This thing is VERY quiet in comparison. I only drink one cup in the morning prior to going to work so the lack of a reservoir is not an issue. If you want multiple cups 30 seconds apart this is not the machine for you. If you don't mind the extra step of dumping a cup of water in a hole and waiting 2 1/2 minutes after you press the brew button (if you own the B40 you were already doing this when you turned the power on) then this machine is great. Oh, and the small footprint means you can be very flexible in where you decide to put it. No major concessions in the countertop usage arena. Bottom line, quiet convenience in a small package makes this a winner.

Cuisinart DGB-650BC Grind-and-Brew Thermal 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Brushed Metal Review

Cuisinart DGB-650BC Grind-and-Brew Thermal 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Brushed MetalI love the new look!We had the older version for about 6 years. This new one is sleeker and much easier to clean and keep clean (the inside where the grinder sits gets cakey due to condensation).I got it for $149, used Amazon Prime, and had it in a few days!I love it.If you're thinking of getting this grind and brew with stainless carafe, it is nice. Some parts will have to be replaced over the years like the older version, but the taste of the freshly ground coffee every day is worth it. I never pre-heat the carafe like the directions say because that defeats the purpose of the timer. I've never had an issue with the coffee temperature, it's always hot! I also recommend hand-washing over dishwasher. The carbon filters are similar to Brita and can be found for cheap at Kohl's. One other note is it only makes 10 cups as opposed to the typical 12 cups. This is fine for me because it's just me and my husband, but if you need to make a ton of coffee regularly, this may not be a good choice.Overall, I love it and I'm glad I traded up!

Cuisinart DCC-RWF Replacement Coffeemaker Water Filters, Set of 2 Review

Cuisinart DCC-RWF Replacement Coffeemaker Water Filters, Set of 2I live in Seoul, South Korea, where it is inadvisable to drink water directly from the tap. Unless, that is, your idea of a good time is to let a little amoebic dysentery cozy up and get friendly with your colon.

Okay, so, the water isn't ALWAYS that scary to drink. Just, uh, just most of the time.

Even when the water doesn't make you sick, it usually tastes like it's been funneled through an old radiator. Coffeemakers, generally speaking, don't include water filters because the brewing process ostensibly kills all of the harmful bacteria. But you can still taste the heavy-metal-goodness in every last drop of leaden java. Lip smacking!

Anyhoo, I purchased a Cuisinart Coffeemaker recently (oh, how I love that machine), and it came with a package of these little filter fellows, and let me tell you, they do the trick. Gone are the filamental-flavors, the taste of scalded electrical wire! All that's left is pure watery goodness, the clean, crisp clarity of two spic-n-span H's and one well-scrubbed O.Now, if this little wunder-filter can do THAT for the brackish dreck that passes for water in Seoul, imagine how much more effective it would be on YOUR water!

Uh. Assuming you also do not live in Seoul. Or, er, Mexico. And parts of Bangladesh. And most of Haiti. And also, maybe, Djibouti. (Although I think Djibouti's been getting its act together with the public water works system these days, thanks to macro-economic reform programs.See the comments section below.)

NOTE: Some elements of the above review may have been exagerrated in order to titillate easily-titillated readers. Readers with tender sensibilities should not have read the previous review.

Keurig B70 Platinum Single-Cup Home Brewing System Review

Keurig B70 Platinum Single-Cup Home Brewing SystemI recently purchased the new Keurig B-70 Gourmet Single Cup Home Brewing System that was released on October 1st, 2006 and have been very happy with it.The machine is extremely well designed, simple to operate, aesthetically pleasing, and most importantly, brews an excellent cup of coffee.I am very impressed with how quickly it is able to brew a cup of coffee, the selection of brew sizes, and how simple clean up is.

There are a variety of single cup brewers on the market now, many utilizing pre-packaged coffee "pods" for brewing.Personally I was not comfortable purchasing a product where I would be locked into the selection and pricing of a specific manufacturer, or one that would only brew coffee and not tea and cocoa. This is just one area where Keurig really shines above their competition.

Keurig has gathered support of a variety of gourmet coffee, tea, and cocoa manufacturers and there currently there are over 140 different types sold pre-packaged in K-Cups including Green Mountain, Diedrich, Gloria Jean's, Timothy's, Van Houtte, Tully's, Coffee People, Newman's Own, Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow, Twinings, and Ghirardelli. Not only is there a large selection to choose from, there are a variety of resellers online offering K-Cups, and pricing is extremely competitive.

In addition to the pre-packaged offerings, Keurig offers the My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter allows you to use your own gourmet ground coffee in your Keurig home brewer. This option provided the extra level of comfort I personally needed to make the jump into a single cup brewer.Frankly I don't find myself using it very often as I had originally thought, as there are so many options available in pre-packaged K-cups.

The pricing of the Keurig brewers are extremely reasonable, and brews gourmet coffee in just a fraction of the cost of purchasing it from a Starbucks, Coffee People, or similar.I expect that my machine will pay for itself in savings in just a couple months of use.

The only suggestion I have for Keurig is that the My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter be included with the sale of the brewer, and not an optional accessory. It is such an inexpensive accessory that I am surprised it was not included.Overall the Keurig brewers are excellent value and quality and would recommend them to anyone interested in a single cup brewer.

Mr. Coffee ECM21 4-Shot Espresso Machine and 8-Cup Coffeemaker Combo, Black Review

Mr. Coffee ECM21 4-Shot Espresso Machine and 8-Cup Coffeemaker Combo, BlackI have had this machine since February and use it nearly every day. This is definitely one of the best coffeemakers I have ever owned, and I haven't had one single problem with it.

When I was deciding whether or not to buy it, some of the negative reviews had me a little skeptical. But I am SO glad that I took a chance. It was absolutely worth it for me.

I honestly don't see how some of the reviewers have had some of the problems that they have.Reviewer 'Joan of Arc' seemed to have quite a bit of leakage problems. It must have been a defective machine, because ours hasn't leaked one time -- not even a little drop.I'll go over a few of the issues she and some others had:

- The removable water reservoir (or "bucket" as she called it) for the coffeemaker is easy to remove and replace. If you don't want to take it out to fill it with water, just pour water into it.It is marked clearly and is easy to read even when stationed on the machine. No problem.

- The showerhead over the filter basket swivels outward to allow you to change the coffee filter. When you're done, you just swivel it back into place.I don't see how you can forget to do it, because the lid is designed so that you can't even close it if the showerhead isn't moved back into place. It really isn't even something you have to think about.

- Some people have had problems with the carafe lid.It doesn't open fully, but opens wide enough for me to clean it with little problem. We haven't had any problems with it dripping or leaking at all. It's like any other carafe that I've used over the years.

- 'Joan of Arc' mentioned that it was easy for her to forget to put the 1st lid on the espresso side before putting down the second lid.I'm not exactly sure what she was referring to, but I think she meant the water reservoir cap and lid.Again, I don't see how you could forget to screw the cap back on after you fill it with water.I suppose it's a learning curve. The first few times I used the machine, I referred to the instruction manual to make sure I did everything right. Now I can crank out good espresso and cappuccino in minutes without really even thinking about it.It just takes a little practice, like with anything else.

- Some people wished for a frother that was a little more accessible to make it a little easier to froth milk in a larger pitcher. That would have been a nice feature. It isn't too difficult to use, however, and seems to work just fine. The milk is always steaming hot, and the froth doesn't get cold for us.

- The coffee and espresso COULD be a LITTLE hotter.I don't like scalding hot coffee anyway, so it doesn't bother me too much, but for someone that does, it might be a small issue.Again, it doesn't seem like a deal-breaker, though.

- A clock or timer would have been a nice addition as well, but not having it doesn't affect the quality of the machine. It would have made a good product even better.

We have used both the coffee side and espresso side many times, and have yet to have any problems.I think some people may have received defective machines, but any product can be purchased defective. Some issues can easily be resolved with a little practice in getting used to the controls and operation of the whole machine, but once you do, it's more than easy to make good quality coffee and espresso.

I would definitely have to say that I got a great deal on a sleek, stylish machine that also works very well and makes good quality coffee. If you 'get what you pay for', then I made out like a bandit.Perfectly satisfied and VERY happy I bought it.

Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee-on-Demand 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker Review

Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee-on-Demand 12-cup Programmable CoffeemakerI have a perfectly good Cuisinart DCC-1200, but after spotting the 2000 at a local store I couldn't stop fiddling with the floor model. Well, my wife was lurking as I was fiddling and with my birthday coming up - and my affinity for coffee - she thought she'd found the perfect gift. Boy was she was right!

Now let's be honest, carafe-less designs have been around forever - Farberware's stainless steel coffee pots are staples in offices and at parties - they just haven't been this much fun. I'm not going to repeat everything that's already been written, but suffice to say the 2000 is a unique coffee maker. Does it make coffee better than my 1200 did? No, not really. But it does keep it hot longer, without the bitter, burnt taste that would often accompany the coffee from my 1200 when left on the warming plate for over 30 minutes. I normally have two cups every morning (not the puny 5-ounce "cups" that every coffee maker seems to think is the norm for whatever reason), but I've found myself having about three (maybe not a good thing?) since getting the 2000 because that third cup, about 1-1/2 hours later still tastes great. That wasn't happening with the 1200. Sometimes I'd try the third cup, but the burnt carafe taste made it unfortunate.

One of the complaints I'm reading here is that you need a separate container to fill the 2000. I can't be the only owner that owns a Pyrex 2-cup (or more) measuring cup can I? I just fill it up once, twice - gasp! - three times and pour it in while watching the water level on the side. Honestly, it's not that hard. Cleaning is no different from any model with a carafe. But instead of washing the outer carafe you remove the inner "carafe" to rinse it out or give it a thorough cleaning. That's the only difference. The coffee gauge is kind of silly and inaccurate and I rarely ever look at it, but it adds to the allure of the 2000.

I'll be keeping my 1200 at the ready for my sister to use when she comes over to make her dreadful flavored coffees so they don't contaminate my new toy. But until the next great design advance comes along to which I can't say "no," I'll be enjoying the 2000 to the fullest. It's neat, it's fun and it makes great coffee.

Black & Decker DCM675BF 5-Cup Drip Coffee Programmable Maker with Permanent Filter Review

Black & Decker DCM675BF 5-Cup Drip Coffee Programmable Maker with Permanent FilterThis was a replacement coffee maker for a 4 cup MR. Coffee that stopped working. The best feature is it makes 5 cups, so if you are using a larger mug you can get 2 full servings with each pot. The timer is easy to operate and works perfectly. I never used a steel mesh reusable coffee filter before but it works surprisingly well, but it adds one more thing to wash. Even finely ground coffee does not pass through the reusable filter. Paper coffee filters can be used as well. It can be purchased at Linen-n-Things for $15 with their 20% off coupons. A steal-of-a-deal at that price. The only negative about Black & Decker products is replacement parts (glass pot, filter) are generally not available at retail stores and sometimes they have limited availability since models come and go quickly. But for the price of this unit a complete replacement is less than a couple cups of coffee at Starbucks.

Black & Decker DCM2500B SmartBrew Coffeemaker Review

Black & Decker DCM2500B SmartBrew CoffeemakerBecause we're serious about our coffee, we sold our old $100+ Cuisinart coffeemaker to be replaced with this much better designed and much easier to use coffee maker.

A motel room we stayed at had this model coffee maker. We used it twice a day for 10 days. The coffee was delicious and we found no minuses at all, so I bought one. We've been using it daily now for about three months.

The carafe is made of heavy duty glass and doesn't drip at all. The hole to pour water into is large and easy to get to. There are convenient and accurate water level windows on both sides of the unit. The controls are convenient, easy to understand, and easy to use. The basket is easily removed for cleaning, easy to position, and uses standard flat bottomed filters. The time and function displays are large and bright. All of these are comparative problem areas in the Cuisinart.

Programming works perfectly and is so simple to use we didn't need the manual. To set the time of day press the "Hours" button until it reaches the current hour and then the "Minutes" button. To set the "Auto on" time, press the "Program" button, and then set the start time the same way. Press the "Program" button again to go back to time of day. For auto start, press the "Auto on" button, which lights up. That's it.

In addition, the water enters the drip chamber in a shower rather than a stream, resulting in consistently smooth and uniform tasting coffee. I can't comment on the warming plate because we put what we don't drink immediately into a Thermos for all day use. The warming plate shuts itself off after two hours if you forget.

The negative reviews are a puzzle to me. We found none of the problems mentioned.

This is an addendum in mid Nov, 2007. The coffeemaker still makes perfect coffee and everything works like new. The only negative I'd add is that the warming plate is quite rusty, probably because I put a pot of tap water on it at night to have chlorine free water in the morning. Often the pot is damp. When we need to replace this coffeemaker, I'll paint the new warming plate with bar-b-cue paint before the first use, for rust protection.

This is an update, dated 11/20/07. The coffeemaker still works perfectly and still looks good. I sanded the rust off of the base plate, painted it with bar-b-cue paint, and as expected there is no more rust problem. I don't think the rust would occur for most people. I caused it by putting a wet pot on the plate overnight seven days a week.

Black & Decker DCM2000B SmartBrew 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Black Review

Black & Decker DCM2000B SmartBrew 12-Cup Coffeemaker, BlackWe didn't want timers, clocks, adjustable brew strength, bells and whistles...We just wanted a good cup of coffee. We like the comfortable handle, we like the the location and size of the on/off switch that you can find in the semi-darkness when you're still mostly asleep. And we LOVE the clear markings on the carafe that takes the guesswork out of the fill level. (For this much coffee, fill to this water level.)

We have not experienced the problems mentioned in some of the other reviews. Maybe it's because I'm used previous makers, but I'm in the habit of holding the lid partway open when I pour coffee, so have not noticed the leaky-drippy factor that seems to be the focus of some of the complaints. The only problem I have had so far was not seating the basket properly, thus getting 12 cups of coffee all over my kitchen table. It only happened once because we now take an extra second to make sure the basket and carafe are properly in place.

As far as the referrals to this product as "cheap" - What do you expect for 20-25 dollars?!Normally, I would say "you get what you pay for," but in this case, I feel we got MORE than we paid for:A good coffee maker at a decent price.

Keurig B40 Elite Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System Review

Keurig B40 Elite Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing SystemI read every single Amazon.com review for this item. And then read them again.I went to the Keurig website and researched the B40.Came back to Amazon and read the reviews one more time.If I was going to pay $100 for a coffee machine, I wanted to be sure I knew as much as possible about it.I finally purchased the B40, and after getting it today and having brewed four cups of coffee so far, I offer the following review (from a BLACK COFFEE drinker, no milk, no sugar):

I think the people who claim this machine is too loud and complain that it vibrates too much are your normal "Mr. Coffee" people.Yes, the machine makes noise. It's pumping pressurized hot water into the K-Cups.Of course it's gonna make noise.I counted each time the noise was made.It lasts five seconds each time, at most. And it's MUCH quieter than my Melitta Mill & Brew, which grinds the coffee beans with a high shrill. This machine also vibrates. But again, it's well worth the minor noise and moderate vibration. You shouldn't be shelling out this much money for a coffee machine if you expect a Mr. Coffee coffee maker. You are buying a "gourmet" coffee machine, and it has some cool features that require hot pressurized water to be pumped through the machine. Not a big deal!

I think a lot of the negative reviews that I read, and maybe all of them, referred to an older version of the B40 that only had one cup size setting.Indeed, when I purchased this machine at Target today, the display model for the B40 had only one cup size.I had to triple-check the box to make sure I was getting the B40 with the TWO cup sizes (and I was).So maybe they have improved the machine since that version.

I read negative reviews about this machine making weak coffee.I was so freaked out about those reviews, I wanted to brew every K-Cup (even the Extra Bold) on the small cup setting. As I was brewing the third cup, I put in a "regular" K-Cup and hit the "large" cup setting.I immediately went into Panic Mode, worried that I just wasted a K-Cup, because my coffee would be too weak to drink. Not true at all!Yes, the coffee was not quite as strong as I would normally like, but it was a very decent cup of coffee.I will not worry if I ever hit the large size on a regular pod again.Although I plan on buying all Extra Bold cups, so that I can brew a bigger cup.

I am extremely pleased with this coffee machine. So much so that I plan to buy two of this same model (or the B60 if it's on sale) as Christmas gifts for my mom and uncle.

As a former coffee house Assistant Manager and an avid fan of "gourmet" coffee, I highly recommend this coffee machine.Probably the best $100 I have spent in at least five years. One of my biggest concerns was that the beans had NO TIME to brew properly in such a short amount of time. But I was completely wrong. This machine brews a nice, bold, rich cup of coffee.Slightly less bold and rich if you brew the regular pods on the larger cup setting; but still very drinkable.I was also concerned that the pods would leak after removing them from the machine, but they are almost dry.I haven't had a single one drip on the way to the trash can, and I remove them seconds after brewing.I'm extremely pleased with the ease and cleanliness of using this machine. No filters to deal with, no messy coffee grounds, no dirty coffee pots to wash (and filter baskets). The convenience of the machine alone is well worth the minor noise and vibration.

I highly recommend this machine.Just do your research and make sure this is the coffee machine you are looking for.It takes time to research, but it pays off in the end.I couldn't be happier with the B40, and don't see why anyone else wouldn't be just as pleased.

Time for me to make another cup.

Black & Decker DCM675BMT 5-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Carafe, Black/Stainless Review

Black & Decker DCM675BMT 5-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Carafe, Black/StainlessIt is the size I wanted. Great design. Attractive and compact. I wanted a break resistant carafe (so my kids can do the dishes). The carafe is well built and is lightweight. I too was concerned that it is not a thermal insulated carafe but it turns out that is not needed since it sits on a "Keep Hot" warming plate. Though it is not listed on the outside of the box, it does indeed automatically shut off after 2 hours as described in the instructions. The clock and programmable timer are simple to set up. Best of all it brews hot delicious coffee!

Hamilton Beach 43254 Ensemble 12-Cup Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe, Black Review

Hamilton Beach 43254 Ensemble 12-Cup Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe, BlackBefore purchasing the HB 43254 Classic Stainless 12 cup coffee maker I read the reviews like I normally do before making any purchase.I decided to purchase this coffee maker knowing that there may be some minor issues with it - what doesn't these days? After many years of buying coffee makers I have found there is no "perfect" coffee maker that will make everyone happy. You just need to decide what is important to you and your family. That said, after about three weeks of use I found it to be exactly what I was looking for - it makes HOT coffee, the carafe DOESN'T drip and I didn't need to use a manual to set up the clock and timer! If this is what you are looking for stop reading and purchase this unit now.Enjoy the coffee maker...

For those that really need to know more before purchasing continue reading:
- This coffee maker uses basket shaped filters. So you can give your neighbor your unused cone shaped paper filters you may still have.
- The water reservoir does have a rather small opening but it is not too small like some very expensive coffee makers I have seen. Some may find it easier to use a large cup a couple of times to fill the reservoir instead of using the carafe.Either way I never needed to turn the coffee maker sideways to fill the reservoir.
- The water spout does swivel to allow you to install the filter and add coffee. You only need to move it once that is if you fill the water reservoir first. When closing the lid it will move the spout back into the proper position so you don't have to remember to do it yourself.
- I too had a defective carafe that leaked at the top between the plastic rim and glass.I called customer service, waited a few minutes, and spoke to someone in the USA.It was replaced within a few days at no charge.I sealed the original carafe until the replacement arrived.
-I never had an issue with pouring a cup of coffee using the auto pause and serve feature.Besides, how often do you really "need" to have a cup of coffee before it is done brewing? If you are that desperate, set the timer so it is done brewing before you get up in the morning.

Cuisinart DCC-1150 Coffee Maker, 10-Cup Thermal Programmable Review

Cuisinart DCC-1150 Coffee Maker, 10-Cup Thermal ProgrammableI have this one in black, and have been making coffee at least once a day for the past three weeks.I was debating between this 10-cup thermal ($80), the 12-cup thermal ($130), and the 12-cup glass carafe with warming plate ($80), all by Cuisinart. In the end, I wanted something that used less electricity, so I went with the thermal. The added bonus with a thermal is that the coffee taste doesn't change from your first cup to your second cup a few hours later.I finally decided to save $50 and buy the 10-cup thermal because everything else was the same except for the 10 ounce difference (both coffeemakers brew 5 oz cups).I purchased mine from a different store, and I found out that there was no gold cone filter.I called up Cuisinart and they said depending on where you purchased the coffeemaker, it may use paper cones, or it may come with the gold cone filter. They graciously sent me a gold cone for free.So after 3 weeks:

PROS:
-easy to set up, easy to use
-charcoal water filter (I use tap water, so I like the fact that the machine filters it before going into my coffee)
-auto brew timer (the smell of coffee helps me wake up in the morning and I am fully brain dead when I first wake up.I can barely get dressed, much less make coffee. So I set it up the night before and I have amazing, fresh coffee ready for me in the AM).
-beeps to signal that coffee is ready
-coffee stays fresh for at least 4 hours. On weekends, I set my coffee to brew as normal at 7AM, but sometimes I sleep late until 11AM or later.I go to pour my coffee and it's still steaming!(and not burnt from the warming plate)
-thermal carafe saves electricity because there is no need for a warming plate
-I can use both paper cone filters or the gold cone filter. The gold cone is just as easy to clean as the disposable paper cones.I just shake out the grinds into the trash, and rinse with water.SO easy. And I save money because I don't have to buy filters!
-I drink my coffee black, so I can tell good coffee from bad coffee.I also like my coffee strong and bold. When I'm lazy, I use Illy medium grind, medium roast pre-ground.One mountainous scoop (comes with the coffeemaker) per 10 oz. of coffee. My one mug of coffee is equal to the coffeemaker's two cups, so yes, the machine makes 5 mugs total. When I make coffee for just myself, I fill the reservoir to 2 cups, add one giant scoop of coffee to the filter, press the 1-4 cups button, turn the dial to brew, and press "on."I love it.
-I have no problem with the size of the machine (I thought it was small). It is sitting on a side table in my tiny kitchen, not on the countertop or underneath cabinets. So I can easily flip up the top and have easy access to the water reservoir. It is also on the right side of the table, so I just use a cup and pour water into the reservoir. I don't think it's hard at all to pour water in.The triangular opening is on the right, back corner of the machine and is about 3" x 3" x 4".
-The water level is very clearly marked and easy to see on the right side of the machine.

CONS:
-The beep is not just one cute beep.It is 4 or 5 beeps in a row. This could be annoying to some people.
-Not really a con for me, but other people have commented on the pouring as "difficult."I think it is the nature of a thermal carafe to require some patience when pouring into a cup.It is well sealed to keep the coffee hot, so when you pour, the liquid has to go through a maze to get out.On my last cup, I just take the top off and pour.Definitely worth the "effort."It's really not hard, I promise.:)
-I read reviews of how people wake up with coffee all over the counter because the carafe was clogged at the top.So whenever I set up the machine to brew, I make sure to rinse the top with hot water and shake it around a bit to make sure the little ball isn't stuck. Also, not difficult to do.
-I guess if you don't have easy access to the right side of this machine, it could be difficult to pour water in and see the water level. If it's in the middle of your countertop, you may have to turn it to the side in order to pour the water in. For me, it's easy because my coffeemaker sits on the right side of a table in my kitchen.

I am so glad I went with this machine.I hope it lasts for a long time.

Cuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Brew Central Coffeemaker Review

Cuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Brew Central CoffeemakerTwo weeks ago, I needed a new coffee maker. The Krups Aroma Control maker is in all the stores and catalogs, so I bought one in the local mall BEFORE reading the Amazon reviews.BIG MISTAKE.Lesson learned - read the reviews - many negative comments.I used it for 3 days, and readily understood the description (...) of "eye candy" (looks nice, but seems like cheap plastic) and weak coffee (what they describe as a feature - allowing the coffee to steep - is really a euphemism for a poorly designed system that is guaranteed to give you a weak cup of coffee). One redeeming feature - the carafe is very nice.
Within 2 days of having the Krups, i was on Amazon looking for a replacement coffee maker (a good cup of coffee is critical in the morning!).I went out on the risk curve and ordered the new Cuisinart - no reviews yet.The Cuisinart has a more classic brewing system (water goes through grinds via gravity), yields a delicious cup of HOT coffee, has a variable temperature hot place, and looks and feels solid. We happen to have stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, freezer, stove), and it matches beautifully.Best news - excellent coffee!.I would highly recommend the Cuisinart.

This state of the art coffeemaker lets you fine tune the process from filtering the water you brew with to keeping the brewed coffee at the precise temperature you desire. If you're the impatient type you can grab a cup before brewing is complete (or program your coffee to be ready and waiting at wake up time), and if you tend to be forgetful, this appliance has auto shut off. Seems as though Cuisinart has covered all the bases in this deluxe coffeemaker.

Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe Review

Cuisinart DCC-2600 Brew Central 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Glass CarafeThis is a replacement for my old Cuisinart coffee maker which I had for about six years or so (the predecessor to this model). I loved my old one even with some of the little quirks it had. It beat out any Braun or Krupp pot which I had ever owned. This new updated model is a winner. All of the small annoyances have been solved, such as the small fill tank opening, the dripping cover that leaked back into the fill tank, and finally, thank you Cuisinart people, a water level guide on the outside of the unit. The front knobs on the front are now also easier to see and use. As my other Cuisinart did, it brews superior coffee and quickly. I find it takes about one minute per cup... 12 minutes for twelve cups, not bad at all. Yes, the unit does make some clicking and popping noises when it is new, so did my old one. But that goes away in time as the unit gets "broken in". I do not think you can find a better coffee maker on the market.

Mr. Coffee Programmable Coffeemakers Review

Mr. Coffee Programmable CoffeemakersWe all know that too much coffee is terrible for the body in several ways. So, instead of using the 12-cup coffee maker, we decided to go with a smaller one - to force me to drink less coffee.I love this product for a number of reasons.

Pros:
- Perfect size for a single coffee drinker.
- Timer is great.Every other 4-cup maker that I found were switch based without a timer setting.Timer settings are really helpful when you want to just get your coffee and go.
- Easy to clean. This product has a removeable filter cup for easy cleaning. Also, the auto-pause in brewing is helpful to both allow for quick removal and less spilling.

Cons:
- It takes a little longer to brew 4 cups with this maker as it does in a larger maker. This may simply be due to the size of the product.

Summary:
- I really like this product. It makes coffee perfectly. It is compact and takes up very little space. It is perfect for my coffee needs.

Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Travel Mug Review

Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Travel MugI bought this coffeemaker for home about 2 months ago and I love it!It is extremely convenient to be able to quickly brew coffee for just one person. The best features of this unit are:
1.It has a built in, "permanent" filter which is a HUGE plus. No more running out of filters, EVER.
2.It is fast.In just a couple minutes I can go from sleep to sipping coffee.
3.It brews the coffee right into the travel mug.The unit I bought included an extra mug which is also a great convenience.
4.It is inexpensive!
The only downside I can see is that I would have made the travel mugs a bit larger, but that is not a serious problem.I would buy this coffeemaker again without hesitation.
