Everyday in the morning, I really love a good cup of coffee to help me through my day. That comes very well with Melitta, and how they know what to do when it comes to strong filters as well. Toddy Maker Replacement Filters Review

True the price on Amazon is too high - I did a little shopping (I was looking for a plug and filters) and I just paid $8.04 for 5 plugs and 4 filters. The filters alone were $5.29 with free shipping for 4 of them (that is $1.32 a piece compared to $5.94 a peice). I did not need 5 plugs, but they were $2.75 compared to almost $8on Amazon (price plus shipping - $4 to ship a 1 oz or less plug??).

Coffee Filters 12 Cup (1000BUN) Category: Disposable Coffee Filters Review

My husband and I are coffee lovers from way back.Once we bought a Bunn coffee pot for our home, we won't have anything else.It makes great coffee in 3 minutes flat, especially if you use Bunn filters. They fit the basket better and filter the coffee better than the other brands, but they are hard to find in the store. That's why I usually just order the box of 1,000 at a time on-line. The last time, I ordered directly from Bunn, but the price offered on Amazon.com was lower, so I said, "Why not?" and decided to give it a try.We received the same identical product but at a lower price.

Bunn BCF100-T 100-Count Basket Filter Review

AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF FRUSTRATION WITH MY EXPENSIVE STARBUCKS BARISTA AROMA GRANDE OVERFLOWING GRINDS AND SEDIMENT OVER THE TOP EDGE OF THE MELLITA PAPER FILTERS AND INTO THE COFFEE POT, I BOUGHT THESE FILTERS AT MY LOCAL ACE HARDWARE AND WAS AMAZED THAT THEY INDEED DO WORK BETTER WITH NO OVERFLOW. THIS PROBABLY IS DUE TO A TALLER PROFILE TO THE FILTER AND A MORE TIGHTLY FLUTED FILTER WALL. THIS MAKES A STRONGER FILTER EDGE WHICH DOES NOT FOLD DOWN AND PROBABLY INCREASES THE FILTRATION SURFACE AREA....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED OVER THE OTHER BRANDS.

Permanent Gold Cone Coffee Filter Review

I recently bought the Zojirushi EC-BD15 Fresh Brew Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker and love it. However, I was annoyed with having to deal with coffee filters! I make a pot of coffee ever day so that meant I threw away one paper filter, day-after-day. On top of that, the way the filters are made, with the seem on the bottom and side, you have to really finagle them to get the filter to sit just right in the machine.

Still, I was worried about buying a gold cone filter. I had read reviews of gold cone filters that didn't fit right in the coffee maker, or after buying a gold cone filter people ended up with a lot of coffee grounds and sludge sitting at the bottom of their brewed pot of coffee.

I bought this coffee filter anyway and it has been perfect. It plops right in and fits perfectly in the coffee brewing basket of my Zojirushi EC-BD15 Fresh Brew Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker. No coffee grounds get through. And it has a swivel handle on top so I can easily take the filter out and clean it each day.

I've also read reviews of tears in the mesh for other filters. The mesh on this one is a bit delicate, but I've been washing it by hand every day for a few months now and I am not concerned of creating a tear. However, I wouldn't recommend putting it in the dishwasher because that might be a bit too rough.

Overall, I would highly recommend this gold cone coffee filter. It works just as it should and, as far as I can tell, has no faults!

BUNN BCF250 Commercial Coffee Filters Review

The suggested list price is the case price (12 * 250) filters.
The item being sold is one packet (250 filters) not a case.

Would be a good deal if it was an entire case, but considering the shipping fees, it is very expensive for a single pack.

Capresso 750.09 Size-4 Cone GoldTone Filter Review

This filter works as expected...It has all the benefits of a coffee filter without the downfalls of paper. Earlier reviewer unfairly rated this item without noticing the fact that the coffee maker they were trying to use it in clearly states that it uses a #3 cone filter. Obviously this #4 cone filter won't fit into a model that uses a smaller size. User ignorance should have no bearing on the rating of this item.

Medelco Personal Coffee Maker Review

This product is simple and produces coffee I like. No more wasting paper filters for me, or drinking nasty coffee from the company coffee pot.

I used to use a French press to make my coffee at work for that little pick-me-up.That tastes good to me, but the French press is a hassle to clean, and the glass vessel I have is very delicate-- I worry it will shatter next time I wash it.There's another reason I want to get away from the French Press: I want to buy pre-ground coffee (I'm just a casual coffee drinker, not a connoisseur) and the French press allows too much of the coffee grounds and sludge into my cup when using anything finer than coarsely ground coffee. I figured I would try this product, and get a similarly tasting cup of coffee without the sludge in my cup.Well, I'm happy with the results.

The filter prevents most of the "dust" from the store-bought pre-ground coffee from getting into my cup of coffee. Well, it allows more dust to get through than a paper filter, but it performs much better than the swissgold® KF 300 One-Cup Coffee Filter I bought from Amazon.

I should probably note that I'm generous with the amount of coffee grounds I use to brew coffee. It tastes better that way.

Toddy Filters (2-pack) Review

The Toddy filter is a key component of the Toddy Coldbrew Coffee system. Many people can't believe that a simple thing like coldbrewing your coffee would result in that different a tasting cup of coffee, but it's true! Each time I hand someone a cup of my coldbrewed coffee, I get another convert. Now, it is possible to coldbrew coffee without the Toddy system, but it's a lot messier and time consuming. With Toddy, it's quick, clean and easy. Rather than sit there, filtering a jug of coffee using a regular filter, the Toddy does it for me, making coldbrew something I enjoy year around. It's always in my fridge ready to go. The filters are also reusable, meaning it'sless wasteful. Two filters alone can last you quite a few months!

Melitta Porcelain Manual Coffee Maker Review

I had been using the manual plastic cone filter holder for many users and recently switched to the porcelain. There is a huge improvement in the taste, probably because the porcelain conducts heat better. It's also convenient to be able to put the cap on the carafe when the brewing is finished. The coffee stays warm for about 60 minutes or so.

Two complaints: the #4 filters are a bit too small; in some ways, the #6 filters work better. Also, there is only one hole, so brewing can be a bit slow sometimes, and there is occasional clogging which requires my adjusting the filter a bit.

But it does produce the best coffee I've ever had at home, a coffeehouse, or a restaurant. With coffee, lo-tech and old-school is the best way to go.

KitchenAid Coffee Maker Water Filters, 4 Filters total Review

I ordered these filters and the description was for 10-12 cup Kitchenaid coffee maker. They send the 10 cup filters and I have a 12 cup coffee maker. I didn't think this should make any difference since the filter fit just fine, but when I put 8 cups of water in the coffee maker the filter floats and I cannot figure out how to make it stay in place.

Toddy Cold Brew System Review

This thing makes the most wonderful coffee.I am an admitted coffee snob but was suffering from the acid in the coffee I drank. It all ended with this set up.It makes great coffee that is so darn much easier on your system.
It is not without its minor flaws, however. It is a bit more expensive to make coffee this way.Clean up is a bitdifficult. The rim of the plastic upper part could be an inch taller.
I am going to tell how I approached each of those problems, it seems to work well for me.
In using the full pound of coffee and 72 ounces of water called for (It soaks for 12 hours per instructions) the top container is filled to the very brim...water and grounds are easily spilled over the top when pressing the grounds down (again per instructions) to assure uniform wetness.
I now use about 75% of a pound of coffee and 90% of the water called for. I place a #4 basket filter over the round Toddy filter to make for a better flow at the end of the process.I leave it all for about 30 hours and it is at least as strong as that obtained by following the instructions provided.Remember...this is not an exact science!I get more cups of coffee per pound this way and also have much easier clean up and less mess in the making. With the coffee and water mixture about an inch below the top of the container, one simply does not make the spills normally encountered.
When done, I let the concentrate run into the carafe per instructions, but then press the outsides of the grounds and then the center to get all the concentrate out...I do this twice.A surprisingamount of extra concentrate is saved in this fashion.I then remove the carafe, place a plastic bag over the top of upper unit and invert itinto the bag.The round filter is right at the top and I can easily pick itout.
In the sink I have placed a very large bowl (I use a stainless one) and rinse the parts that need it into the bowl. The grounds do not get away or get down my drain. When done I can just toss the bowl of water and grounds rinsed from the filter, etc. into my back yard and the clean up is basically complete.

Cuisinart GTF Gold Tone Filter Review

I have used this filter with my Grind-n-Brew for 2 years. I put it in the dishwasher at least twice and have never had any problems with it. I have no idea what these other reviewers are doing wrong, but I love this filter. I never have grounds in my coffee. There is always a little darker/thicker coffee in the bottom of a good cup of coffee!

As for price, $20 is NOT the actual price for this filter. $10 is the "real" price, so you are not getting a deal on Amazon especially when you add shipping (unless you are getting free shipping). I have seen the same $10 filter at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Ace Hardware, and Publix.

Overall, if you enjoy a good cup of coffee and do not want to put the chemicals added to paper filters in your body, buy this coffee filter!

Cuisinart DCC-RWF Replacement Coffeemaker Water Filters, Set of 2 Review

I live in Seoul, South Korea, where it is inadvisable to drink water directly from the tap. Unless, that is, your idea of a good time is to let a little amoebic dysentery cozy up and get friendly with your colon.

Okay, so, the water isn't ALWAYS that scary to drink. Just, uh, just most of the time.

Even when the water doesn't make you sick, it usually tastes like it's been funneled through an old radiator. Coffeemakers, generally speaking, don't include water filters because the brewing process ostensibly kills all of the harmful bacteria. But you can still taste the heavy-metal-goodness in every last drop of leaden java. Lip smacking!

Anyhoo, I purchased a Cuisinart Coffeemaker recently (oh, how I love that machine), and it came with a package of these little filter fellows, and let me tell you, they do the trick. Gone are the filamental-flavors, the taste of scalded electrical wire! All that's left is pure watery goodness, the clean, crisp clarity of two spic-n-span H's and one well-scrubbed O.Now, if this little wunder-filter can do THAT for the brackish dreck that passes for water in Seoul, imagine how much more effective it would be on YOUR water!

Uh. Assuming you also do not live in Seoul. Or, er, Mexico. And parts of Bangladesh. And most of Haiti. And also, maybe, Djibouti. (Although I think Djibouti's been getting its act together with the public water works system these days, thanks to macro-economic reform programs.See the comments section below.)

NOTE: Some elements of the above review may have been exagerrated in order to titillate easily-titillated readers. Readers with tender sensibilities should not have read the previous review.
